Project

Wichita Mid-Continent Airport is a small hub air carrier and general aviation complex, providing accommodations for all aircraft, as well as the latest innovations in passenger convenience, safety and efficiency at Kansas’ largest airport. The practical annual airfield capacity is 500,000 operations. Current operations are 43 percent of capacity. The terminal building is comprised of 194,881 square feet. A $6 Million renovation of the terminal was completed in 1989.

Scope of Services

Terminal Area Redevelopment Plan The $174 Million terminal construction included a new terminal of approximately 175,520 SF, and a concourse building of 63,113 SF; for a total of 238,633 GSF.

Our Services included:

  • Independent estimating of areas of concerns determined by the PM
  • Support with analyzing the designers concept estimate to track and identify gaps in scope relative to the latest program scope; Support modifying excel workbook for the current concept estimate to provide a better tool for analyzing the concept estimate and reconciliation
  • Analysis of escalation methodology used for the program; Analysis of contingency methodology to use for the program
  • Concept estimate reconciliation support as necessary.
